Girls Rock, St Pete, FL – “Making HERstory” – Trailer

This is the story of girls and women who make music. This is also the story of girls and women coming together to find themselves, their voices, and claim their space through music. This is the story of Girls Rock St. Pete, FL, told through the eyes of campers, volunteers, and music makers. Over 5 days, they learn to write songs, play instruments, and create music. But, as we hear from the women involved, we see the process teaches and reveals much more than a love of music; they learn to love themselves and each other. When a torrential downpour threatens to cancel the week’s finale, the opportunity to play in front of a live audience, we see the spirit, energy, and power of camp as the girls come together to will the event into being.
